What an action-packed few weeks! The Sony Open brings the best of the tennis world and South Florida living to Key Biscayne during this WTA & ATP event. Sunny days are filled with world-class tennis, while evenings brim with unbelievable food, latin rhythms and nonstop energy.  Mayleen Ramey kicked things off at the Sony Open player party, interviewing top players, who were just as eager to get out on the dance floor, as they were to hit the courts. With Calvin Harris DJing and attendees dressed in their most stylish duds, this was certainly one of the hottest player parties of the year.

Mayleen Ramey was on the road this month, covering the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships, K-SWISS Desert Smash, BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells and Sony Open in Miami. Mayleen is hosting and producing original content for newly-launched tennis website, Tennis Fans United. She created, produced and directed over 30 web features, showcasing the fun side of the sport and its players. There were a lot of good times and laughter; some highlights included doing the Harlem Shake with Victoria Azarenka, a jetski challenge with Fernando Verdasco, German lessons from Tommy Haas and red carpet pointers at Sony Open player party. Watch the web features and interviews on Youtube.

It would be easy to drive right past the small beachside community of Delray Beach, Florida. However, locals and returning visitors know that although it may be smaller than it’s neighboring cities, it certainly packs a punch in terms of variety, charm and food. Having visited for the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships, I discovered “The Ave” and it’s many delicious offerings, thanks to recommendations from some top tennis players. Have a look!
