We’re kicking off another season of tennis! And I, personally, can’t say that statement without grinning from ear to ear, can you? Sure, it’s mostly the same locations, players, dates…but to a tennis-lover, it never seems to get old. The anticipation, the hopes, the drama, the passion and sheer exertion, it’s why we love the sport. Although I’m no longer working with The Tennis Channel, this sport will always be a part of my spirit. And I thank the network and the fans for many years of adventures, love and support. It was the most amazing experience of my life! I am still very much involved in tennis, both personally and professionally, and I look forward to another year of training, traveling, cheering and creating great content for the fans…let’s go! And with that, I’d like to share my favorite tennis/travel spot of 2014…playing under the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France on the terre battle (red clay) during Roland Garros. I’m not sure if it’s possible, but I hope to top that this year. Happy travel & tennis! –Mayleen <3

Mayleen is back from her London holiday! And what an exciting month it was. After spending some time unwinding in the English Countryside, she made her way to Wimbledon for two weeks of tennis in the most beautiful setting in the world. Wimbledon Village is quaint, romantic, intimate and filled with tradition. This is not only the most prestigious Grand Slam, but also the most visually astounding. Mayleen had the honor of attending during a particularly noteworthy year, as Andy Murray finally won the coveted trophy, being the 1st Englishman to capture the title in 77 years. It was truly a match to remember. After Wimby, she hopped a black cab into the city, where she spent some time with dear friends in the heart of London. The hardest part of any vacay is having to leave, but rest assured, she’ll be back in a year…or hopefully less! For pics of her adventures, check out Facebook!

This month Mayleen Ramey and the Bull News team were on the move! After 2 years of filming at Red Bull Headquarters, they ventured off to unknown territory for the first time. This ground-breaking episode was filmed at Long Beach harbor, the backdrop to the most anticipated Red Bull event of the year, Flugtag!! Hundreds of thousands of people will flock to this site on September 21st to witness man-powered flying vehicles being launched from the dock. It’s truly a sight to be seen that lives up to the high energy thrills and entertainment of the Red Bull brand. After an exciting shoot in a real Flugtag craft (thankfully, stationary), Mayleen packed her bags, boarded an an actual powered flying machine, and kicked up her heels because she’s officially on VACAY! Check Mayleen’s Twitter, Instagram & Facebook for updates of her upcoming adventures in London and Wimbledon!

What an action-packed few weeks! The Sony Open brings the best of the tennis world and South Florida living to Key Biscayne during this WTA & ATP event. Sunny days are filled with world-class tennis, while evenings brim with unbelievable food, latin rhythms and nonstop energy.  Mayleen Ramey kicked things off at the Sony Open player party, interviewing top players, who were just as eager to get out on the dance floor, as they were to hit the courts. With Calvin Harris DJing and attendees dressed in their most stylish duds, this was certainly one of the hottest player parties of the year.

Mayleen Ramey was on the road this month, covering the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships, K-SWISS Desert Smash, BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells and Sony Open in Miami. Mayleen is hosting and producing original content for newly-launched tennis website, Tennis Fans United. She created, produced and directed over 30 web features, showcasing the fun side of the sport and its players. There were a lot of good times and laughter; some highlights included doing the Harlem Shake with Victoria Azarenka, a jetski challenge with Fernando Verdasco, German lessons from Tommy Haas and red carpet pointers at Sony Open player party. Watch the web features and interviews on Youtube.

It would be easy to drive right past the small beachside community of Delray Beach, Florida. However, locals and returning visitors know that although it may be smaller than it’s neighboring cities, it certainly packs a punch in terms of variety, charm and food. Having visited for the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships, I discovered “The Ave” and it’s many delicious offerings, thanks to recommendations from some top tennis players. Have a look!

Exciting news! Mayleen Ramey is teaming up with newly-launched website, Tennis Fans United, to bring you exclusive access to players and tournaments. Mayleen will be hosting, producing and directing content for TFU, which will showcase the more fun side of the tennis world, from lighthearted interviews and exciting challenges to must-do activities on tour. This month, she heads at Delray Beach, Florida for the ATP 250 event to spend some one-on-one time with the players and tour this quaint, beach town. Here’s a preview of what lies ahead…

Mayleen has returned from two weeks in Australia, having just attended her fourth and final Grand Slam. After cheering on some of her favorite players in Melbourne, she set off to explore the diverse natural beauty of this expansive country. Her adventures brought her to an exotic fruit farm in the thick of the Daintree Rainforest, where she lived in a treehouse in the midst of the oldest tropical rainforest on the planet. Then, she hopped a flight to Cairns, where she embarked on a 3-day sail of the spectacular Whitsunday Islands in a catamaran. From there, a quick visit to Hamilton Island and it’s famed golf course, a brief stop in Sydney, then back to the States to work! Sadly, vacations have to end sometime, but you can relive these moments through her photos on Facebook! And also, a Happy Chinese New Year!

Mayleen’s jetting back to NYC this month, to finish the filming the final 3 episodes of Beer Money! Then it’s back to LA for another episode of Bull News from Red Bull HQ in Santa Monica, then she’s heading “Down Undah” for the Australian Open. Don’t forget to tune in to World’s Strongest Man this month, airing on ESPN and ESPN2, where you can catch Mayleen as a sideline correspondent for this jaw-dropping, historic event. And stay connected with Mayleen’s travels and work via Twitter, Facebook & Instagram. Wishing you happiness, health, success & great adventures in 2013!
